Following a thorough selection process, the Fonds de Solidarité FTQ selected Ergonet, among many firms specialized in the creation of integrated web environments, as its collaborator for the implementation of an extranet exclusively dedicated to its local representatives (LR).
The LR work voluntarily for the promotion of the Fonds de Solidarité RRSP in the workplace by encouraging their colleagues to save for retirement and sensitizing them to the importance of contributing to create and maintain jobs in Quebec. The LR are the base and the lighthouse of the Fonds de Solidarité FTQ and spread their corporate message throughout the province.
More precisely, the FSTQ was looking for a firm who has mastered the elements associated to Sitecore CMS, named the Cool Product of the Year by Gartner. Also a recognized development platform, Sitecore was quickly identified as the strategic orientation to achieve the organisation goals. Ergonet’s expertise at this level, boosted by one of their associates being one of only 13 MVP Sitecore (Most Valuable Professional) spread throughout the world, were decisive factors in the selection process.
The LR extranet project is part of a corporate vision focused on the optimization of business processes, accessibility of services offered to the LR and a sustainable development philosophy promoting the use of electronic equipment which, incidentally, reduces the amount of mailings. 
Thanks to this project, the numerous LR located in regions and across the province can now benefit from a real online and personalized office.
The extranet is made of files, references and publications, relevant functionalities for the ordering of informational and promotional material, activity registration and access to clients’ coordinates and to the Mailbox module, as well as news about the Fonds, the visualisation of selected capsules and the establishment of direct contact with FSTQ internal resources. Meanwhile, the portal administrators have access to a user-friendly platform offering a strategic autonomy at the content management level.
The LR extranet is the result of a fruitful collaboration between the Fonds de Solidarité FTQ and Ergonet. Since it was installed, 85% of LR that were present at its official launch have completed their registration and activated their online account. Their positive feedback indicates that they are fully satisfied of the initiative.
